Why did the turtle try to stop traffic?
Actually, that would be a really lame joke. However, these little guys
look like turtles patrolling the entrance to Columbus’ recycling plant are not. Normally, parents place them on the kerb or in the street when their children are playing in order to caution drivers that a ball or child might roll out in front of their car.
Wonder if they’d work as traffic cops in Vietnam?
Traffic near Ben Thanh Market, Ho Chi Minh City, on Reunification Day. (A turtle would be more likely to survive this traffic than in the USA because Vietnamese drivers swerve around objects–or drivers–in their path).
